Ultraviolet together with the Springfield Area Arts Council
took 2nd Place for our
All-American Float in the 2009
IL State Fair Parade!!!
... that Year there were over 400
Floats in Competition!!!
Ultraviolet played a medley of an All-American songlist while traveling down the Parade route 'in costume' during the IL State Fair Parade in 2009. Our medley consisted of songs such as ... We're an American Band, Rockin' in the Free World, R.O.C.K. in the U.S.A., and Rockin' in' America!! The costumes were as follows: Suzie Stephens as Wonder Woman; Marc Waterman as Uncle Sam; Jon Gentry as Abe Lincoln; Darren Darr as The Statue of Liberty; Brad Stephens as Captain America; with Good Friend & S.A.A.C. Board Member Kimberly Magowan as Miss America!! Lots of fun!!!
S.A.A.C. members, as well as, Family members, walked down the Parade route handing out candy and beads... : )
